Description

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a five-story above grade medical facility.

Construction of a new multi-use facility to be located adjacent to the Prince County Hospital. The facility will support the PEI Family Medical Residency Program, and it will feature a simulation space, which will be available for use by the University of PEI's Faculty of Medicine. The building will also feature an early years child care centre, addressing the pressing childcare needs of healthcare workers. TIMELINE: Project has received $7 million in federal funding support. Construction is currently planned for spring 2026. Complete scope of work and schedules for design and construction may be confirmed by late spring 2025.
