Site work for a water / sewer project in Columbus, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

CSCC Water Meter Upgrades Project Columbus State Community College ("the college") seeks to relocate and consolidate the existing water meters and backflow prevention to the domestic water supply on its downtown campus. The College has contracted HEAPY Engineering to complete the design for this project. Latest design drawings will be provided to the shortlisted firms. The water supply is currently fed from two meters one located in a vault to the west of Davidson Hall and another to the south of the Center for Technology and Learning (TL). At the request of the City of Columbus to bring the existing water supply up to the City's standards we will be consolidating these two water meters into a single water meter located in a hotbox to the west of Mitchell Hall as well as adding backflow prevention within the code required distance to the new water meter. There is a high level of risk associated with this activity for The College as the two water meters being modified currently feed the underground loop that provides the domestic and fire water to all campus buildings located East of Cleveland Ave. To mitigate this risk The College is seeking a qualified partner to assist in the review of the completed design and make recommendations on how to best sequence this work to ensure minimal impact to the water supply on campus. Any extended or campus wide water shutdowns will need to be completed during The College's holiday break between Christmas 2025 and New Years 2026. Our intention is for the selected firm lead bi-weekly investigation and planning meetings from the time of award until commencement of the work to ensure that all campus stakeholders are aware of the timing and sequencing of any underground work and shutdowns. Accompanying the underground utility scope will be concrete, asphalt, screening, electrical, and landscaping work. Scope of Services The selected Construction Manager at Risk ("CM"), as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposal, will discuss and clarify with the Contracting Authority and/or Owner, the breakdown of the Agreement detailed cost components, to address the Owner's project requirements and refine the project schedule. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth & Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: provide constructability review comments on documents produced by the A/E during Construction Document stages; develop and maintain estimates of probable construction cost, value engineering, project schedules, and construction schedules; lead and manage the Subcontractor Prequalification and Bidding process, Construction and Closeout Stage.
