Renovation of a detention facility in Alderson, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) herein issuance solicitation for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled "Emergency Replace B-Unit Chiller" at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC Alderson), located in Alderson, West Virginia. FPC Alderson is a federal prison camp facility located at Glen Ray Road, Alderson, WV 24910. The work to be performed in association with this project includes the following scope: "Emergency Replace B-Unit Chiller" Oral questions asked at a Site Visit are not acceptable due to the possibility of misunderstanding or misinterpretation. Any questions relating to the solicitation after the closing of the pre-bid conference/site visit shall be sent in WORD FORMAT to Kimberly Johnson, FAO Contracting Officer, via email at knjohnson@bop.gov The successful contractor shall provide labor, equipment, parts, materials and supplies to provide the following: Remove the existing McQuay Chillers (Asset# B-CHIL-1-ALD, Model AGZ110BS12-ER11, 110-ton, Serial # STNU050400073; Asset# B-CHIL-2-ALD, Model AGZ110BS12-ER11, 40-ton, Serial # STNU050400074) and replace them with two (2) new chillers that have equal to or greater cooling capacity and efficiency. See attached Specifications for complete details. Any secure/locked documents uploaded with the solicitation will require an active vendor registration at https://SAM.gov. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $500,000 and $1,000,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238220 with a corresponding small business size standard of $19 Million. The solicitation is set aside exclusively for small business contractors. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the website at https://SAM.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The website provides download instructions. All information about this solicitation, including any amendments, will also be distributed solely through the website.
