The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a construction requirement to replace the Imperial Sand Dunes Cahuilla Ranger Station at 4500 Gecko Rd., Brawley, CA 92227. The requirement entails design & construction of a new facility that will include an approximately 10,000-12,500sf single-story Cahuilla Ranger Station replacement building(s) (12,500sf total max limit). Demolition, removal, recycling, salvaging of construction waste from existing and temporary structures, facilities, and controls when new construction is complete. Replacement building(s) will provide administrative office and visitor reception space, law enforcement space, emergency medical services space, and storage space for various vehicles for government employees while working at the Cahuilla Ranger Station site at the ISDRA. Site development includes installation of back-up generators, solar power generation, connection to existing well, installation of leech field, secure fencing, soil stabilization, and asphalt parking. Two optional items include replacing living quarters for government personnel including sleeping rooms, kitchen, bathrooms/showers, and common living area; residential quarters must comply with local codes in addition to required federal codes and standards. Decorative landscaping featuring native drought resistant plants, and rocks/boulders that fit aesthetically with the local landscape. The work covered by this contract includes furnishing all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete this requirement per the accompanying solicitation attachments. The period of performance for this requirement is 1006 calendar days after notice to proceed. The BLM expects to issue a Total Small Business Set-Aside competitive solicitation in April 2025; and anticipates issuing a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award from this solicitation. Davis Bacon Act (DBA) is applicable, and the appropriate DBA Wage Determination(s) will be included in the solicitation. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 236220, "Commercial and Institutional Building Construction." All materials must be in accordance with the Buy American Act. A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation package will be available electronically via the government official website Sam.gov. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the website for all communication regarding this requirement, including downloading the complete solicitation package and all solicitation amendments.
