The City invites you to submit a proposal for tree trimming, pruning, and maintenance services. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Purpose The City of Turlock is seeking a qualified contractor to provide professional tree trimming, pruning, maintenance and removal services. The contractor will work under the direction of the City's Public Works Maintenance Supervisor and ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and industry standards to maintain the health and safety of trees within the city's public spaces. The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 2.1. Tree Pruning Services Remove dead, diseased, or damaged branches to enhance tree health, safety, and appearance. Perform crown thinning, reduction, and raising for adequate street and sidewalk clearance per the City of Turlock's Municipal Code 10-2-05. Perform utility line clearance pruning as necessary. The contractor is responsible to properly dispose of all wood, branches, and other materials from tree pruning sites when requested by the city. 2.2. Tree Removal Services Remove hazardous, dead, or dying trees as directed by the City's Public Works Maintenance Supervisor or designee. Notify USA North 811 prior to removal of any tree. Grind stumps to a depth of 6-12 inches below grade, including cleanup of debris. The contractor is responsible to properly dispose of all wood, branches, and other materials from tree removal sites when requested by the city. 2.3. Emergency Services (As Needed) The City's Public Works Maintenance Supervisor or designee will inform the contractor if the emergency call is critical or high-priority. Respond to emergency calls for service for tree-related issues from storm damage or fallen trees at any and all times day or night during the term of this agreement within: o Two (2) hours for critical emergencies when public safety is at risk o Twenty-four (24) hours for high-priority, but non-life-threatening issues The contractor is responsible to properly dispose of all wood, branches, and other materials from tree removal sites when requested by the city. Question Deadline 04/14/2025 Request for Information (RFI) should be directed to: purchasing@turlock.ca.us All questions must be in writing and received at least five (5) working days prior to the closing date for submittal of this Request for Bid (RFB), to provide time for issuing and forwarding answers. The City will not be responsible for oral interpretations of the Request for Bid (RFB). The City reserves the right, without limitation and at its sole discretion, to accept or reject any or all proposals and/or terminate this RFB process at any time, for any reason, without notice and with no obligations.
