LATEST DATE/TIME FOR SUBMITTAL OF PRE-BID INQUIRIES 4:00 PM Thursday, April 10, 2025 Submit Pre-Bid Inquiries to: johna@klassencorp.com. Project Location: Cuesta College San Luis Obispo Campus Bid Security. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of the proposed price for any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). Bid Security shall be in the form of: (i) cash; (ii) cashier or certified check payable to the dis; or (iii) bid bond, in the form and content set forth in the Contract Documents. Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be non-responsive and rejected by the District. Contractor's License Classification. Pursuant to Public Contract Code 3300, the District requires that Bidders possess the following classification(s) of California Contractors License at the time the Bid Proposal is submitted and at time that the Contract for the Work is awarded: B - General Building Contractor or C-39 Roofing Contractor. 11. Waiver of Irregularities. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding. 12. Award of Contract. The Contract for the Work, if awarded, will be by action of the District's Board of Trustees to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest priced responsive Bid Proposal. If Alternate Bid Items are included in the bidding, the lowest priced Bid Proposal will be determined on the basis of the Base Bid Proposal or on the Base Bid Proposal and the combination of Alternate Bid Items selected in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Instructions for Bidders. The Work includes a replacement of the entire Bldg 3200-3400 roofing except the north portion of bldg. 3200. Along with new parapet caps and roof accessories. The work consists of: a. Removal of existing built-up roofing assembly in its entirety, including flashing, sealants and attachments, down to a clean and acceptable substrate for installation of new single ply roofing assembly. Gravity vents are to be removed and reinstalled after roofing is completed. b. Removal and replacement of cap flashing, fire treated plywood at all parapet walls. c. Construction of new pony wall at lobby roof 3200 expansion joint location. d. Replacement in kind of gutter, walking pads, roof and overflow drains. e. New flashing and waterproofing at all walls and existing roof penetrations, including refrigerant lines at mechanical units and enclosure/cap. f. Rehabilitation of downspouts at 3200 expansion gap. 2. The intent of these drawings and specifications is that the new construction in this contract is to be in accordance with Title 24, California Code of Regulations.
