Renovation of a municipal facility in Pueblo, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This project consists of removing and replacing the electrical room cooling split unit, Liebert 8-ton, at the Pueblo Municipal Justice Center. Contractor should plan to conduct an assessment of the existing Liebert system. Replacement unit shall be of similar make and model. Product submittal shall be approved by the City prior to purchase. Work shall also include new line set, new low voltage wiring, new thermostat, and any roof modifications required for installation. Contractor shall provide a full design of the new proposed system to include all necessary drawings, stamped by a Colorado licensed Professional Engineer, in order to apply for and secure permits with the Pueblo Regional Building Department. Prior to acceptance by the City, contractor shall provide a testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) report for review and approval by the City. Question Submission Deadline: April 15, 2025, 4:00pm All questions must be submitted through the online portal Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, money order or bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the grand total bid, plus all alternates if applicable, payable to the City of Pueblo as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and bonds within ten (10) days from the date of the Notice of Award. The Contractor shall furnish a good and sufficient Performance Bond and Payment Bond on the forms attached hereto each in an amount not less than the full amount of the contract price, as security for the faithful performance of the Contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing material in connection with the work. Said bonds shall be executed by a corporate surety duly authorized to issue bonds in the State of Colorado. Said bonds shall also be complete surety for all guarantees of materials and workmanship required by any provision of the Contract Documents or the specifications. If at any time during the continuance of the Contract a Surety on either of the Contractor's bonds becomes irresponsible or insolvent the City shall have the right to require additional and sufficient sureties which the Contractor shall furnish within ten (10) days after written notice to do so. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any or all items covered in the Invitation for Bid, to waive informalities or defects in bids, or to accept such bids as it shall deem to be in its best interest. Item shall include all costs incurred which must be performed prior to beginning the other items. Mobilization shall not be paid for separately but shall be included in the cost of the project. Project will consist of removing and replacing the existing Liebert unit at the PMJC. The existing unit is past its useful life and needs to be replaced.
