Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Pueblo, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

In general, this project will consist of removal and replacement of the rooftop unit (RTU) for the Mineral Palace Greenhouse Atrium, as detailed in the specifications. All specifications included in the Special Provisions shall have precedence over and will govern in the event of a conflict with other sections contained in this document. Bidders are responsible for obtaining, reading, and carefully examining the entire Contract Documents package, including any Addenda, prior to submitting a bid. Failure to do so will not relieve a Bidder from any obligation or responsibility to understand and comply with all requirements and conditions for this project. No bid will be received unless accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, money order, bid bond or other suitable collateral, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Total Base Bid plus all Bid Alternates, payable to the City as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proposed Contract and bonds within ten (10) business days from the date of the award of the Contract. On failure of the successful bidder to execute the Contract and furnish bonds, they shall forfeit the deposit as agreed as liquidated damages, and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfilment of this requirement by the bidder. The bid security of the three lowest formal bidders for each contract may be held until the Contract is executed and approved and then returned to the bidders. The balance of bid securities submitted will be returned within seven (7) days after the opening of bids. Failure to complete the work by the allotted 30 calendar days shall result in the assessing of liquidated damages according to GENERAL PROVISIONS. Question Deadline 04/15/2025 at 4:00 PM MT Any inquiries regarding seeming inconsistencies between the Plans and Specifications. The work under this specification involves the procurement and installation of a new rooftop unit (RTU). The scope includes, but is not limited to: Procurement of the specified RTU. Full installation of the RTU, including all necessary materials, equipment, and Labor. Any design services, signed and stamped by a Colorado licensed professional engineer, required by the Pueblo Regional Building Department in order to obtain any and all applicable permits. Permit acquisition. New low voltage wiring and thermostat installation. Any additional ancillary work required to ensure proper and complete installation of the RTU. 2-year warranty on all non-maintenance related failures. Any bidder may withdraw their bid any time prior to the closing time, but no bid shall be withdrawn for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after closing time. Negligence or mistake on the part of the bidder shall not constitute a right to withdraw after closing time. Any bid received after closing time will be rejected. This project consists of removing and replacing the damaged rooftop unit (RTU) for the Mineral Palace greenhouse atrium. Contractor should plan to conduct an assessment of the existing HVAC system and ductwork to determine the extent of the damage, the feasibility of installation, and any additional recommendations. The existing RTU is a Daikin Model DPS004AHMG2DW - 4 ton. Replacement unit shall be of similar make and model. RTU submittal shall be approved by the City prior to purchase. Work shall also include new low voltage wiring and a new thermostat. Contractor shall provide a full design of the new proposed system to include all necessary drawings, stamped by a Colorado licensed Professional Engineer, in order to apply for and secure permits with the Pueblo Regional Building Department. Prior to acceptance by the City, contractor shall provide a testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) report for review and approval by the City The City reserves the right to waive any or all informalities in bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any or all parts of bids.
