Remove and Replace (2) roofs at Yawkey Wildlife Center Question Deadline 04/17/2025 at 12:00 PM ET SCOPE OF WORK It is the intent of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) to identify contractors capable of removing and replacing asphalt shingles and materials on flat roof sections on two buildings at the SCDNR Tom Yawkey Wildlife Center located near Georgetown, South Carolina per the attached specifications. In addition to replacing the shingles/flat roof, some areas of roof deck, fascia trim and soffit damage may be discovered and need to be replaced as part of the work. By submitting an offer, the contractor acknowledges that they are familiar with the site and existing conditions. A site visit is strongly encouraged. No adjustments will be made to the contract price due to existing site conditions, which could have been discovered by a site visit by the contractor. Due to the controlled access at this location, site visits will be conducted for interested parties to inspect the conditions. All work shall comply with the most recent International Building Code. Scope of work includes: There are two buildings involved in this project. Brief descriptions of each are below. More detailed specifications are located in the General Requirements section. Building YWC 29 (Blackout House) is a two story "A-Frame" wood frame residence of approximately 1,100 square feet located on the Cat Island portion of the Tom Yawkey Wildlife Center. The scope of work for this building includes: 1. Removal and disposal of existing asphalt shingle roofs. 2. Inspect the existing roof sheathing, fascia and soffit and replace sections that are designated by the OWNER to be damaged or rotten. 3. Remove and replace all flashing and drip edge. 4. Remove and replace all plumbing vent boots 5. Re-nail any loose sheathing 6. Cover sheathing GAF Shingle-Mate Roof Deck Protection or approved equal
