A payment bond, of a Surety Company qualified to do surety business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, satisfactory to the City, in the amount of 50% of the Bid Price for any Bid exceeding $25,000.00, as required under M.G.L. c.149 Public Procurement Law, will be required of the successful Bidder. In the performance of work under the Contract, the rate per hour of the wages paid to said worker shall not be less than the rate or rates of wages determined by the Commissioner for the Department of Labor. A copy of the wage schedule as set by said Commissioner is attached in the Event. The City reserves the right to cancel this WQC at any time until bids are opened, and further reserves its right to reject all bids after they are opened if the City determines doing so is in its best interest.
