Description of Work Name: 2025 Citywide Street Resurfacing - EAST Location: Various streets (13.168 miles) located in the geographic area of the City south and east of a line made up of the Fox River, the BNSF Railroad tracks, and the Kane-DuPage County Line. Proposed Improvement: Approximate quantities of work to include Curb and Gutter Removal & Replacement (19,610 FT), Sidewalk Removal & Replacement (60,590SQ FT), HMA Surface Removal (214,477 SQ YD), Class D Patches var. (1,290 SQ YD), HMA Binder Course, IL-9.5(2,855 TON), HMA Surface Course (25,887 TON), Thermoplastic Pavement Markings (37,500 FT), Structure Adjustments, Landscape Restoration and other related items. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals contained in the Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions. The City encourages minority business firms to submit proposals and encourages the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
