Western University (Western) is inviting General Contractors and the following Sub-Contractors to submit Statement of Qualifications: - Mechanical - Electrical - Drywall/Plastering/Acoustic - Epoxy Flooring & Base - Painting/High Performance Coatings - Glass & Glazing - Doors & Frames Western University is planning to construct a proposed research centre (PaRC). The facility will house Containment Level 3 (CL3) laboratories, GMP production and an advanced simulation testing center. It will be located in Western Discovery Park, between the existing NRC Centre and Stiller Center along Western Road. PaRC will encompass an area of 20,000 square feet, including a basement, ground floor, and partial second floor. Exterior siteworks are expected and will include hard/soft landscaping, lot and road redevelopment, asphalt paving, concrete curbs, concrete sidewalks, waste bins and outdoor lighting. Construction Start Spring 2025; Construction Completion Fall 2026. TIMELINE: RFPQ for Contractors was closed in April 2025. Tender was issued and closed. *As of June 5, 2025, the submissions are still under review with the owner. A timeframe for a possible award has not been provided for publication.
