Per the owner, construction began September 29, 2025. The scope of work for this project includes miscellaneous repairs of the Seawater Intake Pier, as shown in the Plans and described in these Specifications. The rehabilitation work includes the removal and restoration of one (1) pump pedestal, the installation of two (2) floor supporting I-beams with corresponding anchoring along the underside of the pump station floor, the installation of C-I-P concrete bearing blocks along four (4) concrete bent caps, the installation of six (6) structural pile jacks, the installation of two (2) surface mount bollards at the pier entrance, the anchoring of a railing wall section, and miscellaneous repairs. Applications for environmental permitting have been submitted by the City of Sarasota. The application for all other permits necessary for construction, such as right-of-way use permits, erosion and siltation control permits, building permits etc., shall be the responsibility of the Contractor and included in this scope of work.
