The purpose of this RFP is to select a professional construction management firm to provide the City with construction management services for the City's New Police Station Project. The City is seeking a professional firm to fulfill a comprehensive Construction Manager role. Currently, the City is engaged with a professional design firm, Cordogan Clark, to complete project design. Services related to the professional Construction Manager for the New Police Station Project will include, but are not limited to, assisting the City and its contracted design firm to finalize the project construction schedule and phasing, oversee and manage the public bid process and the various bid packages in accordance with the City's Purchasing Policy, vet the lowest responsive and responsible bidders, provide bid & budget analysis, make recommendations for bid award, issue contracts for construction to the awarded firms with the construction management firm (held by the Construction Management firm/at risk) with a summarized guaranteed maximum price for the City, manage all construction onsite activities which will include the dedication of a fulltime onsite Project Superintendent, and complete all project close-out. Additionally, the selected firm will be expected to collaborate with Cordogan Clark and City staff which may include, but is not limited to, the Police, Public Works, and Community Development Departments.
