The purpose of this IFB is to solicit Bids from qualified Bidders to complete construction of improvements and signalization for the intersections of SR16, Stratton Boulevard, and Industry Center Road in St. Johns County, Florida. This project is partially funded under Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Grant Contract No. G2Y18 (FPN 446603-1-54-01). MAE Project No. 0055-0014 Each submitted Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security, submitted on the Bid Bond Form provided herein, or in the form of a certified or cashier's check, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Lump Sum Bid Price submitted on the Official County Bid Form, pledging that the Bidder will enter into a contract with the County on the terms stated in the IFB and will, if required, furnish bonds as described hereunder covering the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder. Should the Bidder refuse to enter into such Contract or fail to furnish such bonds to the County, if required, the amount of the Bid Security shall be forfeited, not as penalty, but as liquidated damages A Bid Security in the form of a certified or cashier's check must be made payable to the Board of County Commissioners of St. Johns County.
