Reference Number 0000421364 Bid Intent Not Available The work includes, but is not limited to: Construction of a new sodium hypochlorite storage and metering facility; Installation of District furnished storage tanks in the new storage facility; Construction of a new sodium hypochlorite fill station and delivery truck pad; Demolition of an existing sodium hypochlorite storage and metering facility; Installation of new fiber optic system components Related demolition, site improvements, process equipment, electrical and instrumentation systems, and incidentals as described in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder will have 445 calendar days to substantially complete the project from the Notice to Proceed. Each bid must conform and be responsive to the invitation, the Plans and Specifications, and all documents comprising the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond, made payable to the Owner, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. The said check or bidder's bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will execute the contract in conformity with the form of agreement contained within the contract documents, and will furnish bonds and insurance policies as specified within ten (10) days after notification of the award of the Contract to the successful bidder. The contract documents that the successful bidder must submit within ten (10) days of notification of award include, but are not limited to, a payment or labor and materials bond in an amount of at least 100 percent of the amount payable by the terms of the project contract and that satisfies the requirements of California Civil Code Section 3248, and a performance bond in an amount of at least 100 percent of the amount payable by the terms of the contract. All project bonds must be executed by an admitted surety insurer in accordance with applicable law and acceptable to the Owner.
