Nogales Unified School District, #1 is in Santa Cruz County serving our K-12 Community. This Project:HVAC Project at Wade Carpenter Middle School, will be funded by district bond money or the Division of School Facilities. This is one of four prebids in Nogales. This project has structural, electrical, and lots of HVAC work to be done. Construction time may be up to 7 months. Please read the asbestos report. Question Deadline 05/01/2025 at 12:00 PM MT Bring all your major subcontractors with you to this prebid. This will be the only opportunity to visit the site as it is an occupied campus. Bid Bond: An irrevocable bid security payable to Nogales Unified School District, #1 in the amount of 10.00% of the total bid project cost is required. This security should be in the form of a bid bond, certified check, and must be scanned into the Vendor Questionnaire the District by the due time and date cited for this solicitation. The original must be in the District's possession within 48 hours of the opening of the bids. Performance Bond: The contractor shall be required to furnish an irrevocable security in the amount of 100.00% of the total contract price payable to Nogales Unified School District, #1, binding the contractor to provide faithful performance of the contract. This security must be in the possession of the District within 48 hours after receipt of purchase order or other notice of award. The cost of this bond is itemized on the bid submittal form. NUSD reserves the right to reject proposed subcontractors. All subcontractors must be approved by the school district prior to start of work. The District reserves the right to decline conference call attendance or participation.. this scope involves hvac upgrade and replacement. work at the following buildings on the wade carpenter middle school campus: buildings #1006 & #1010. remove existing mechanical units, devices, and accessories, including electrical wiring and connections, architectural elements, surfaces and finishes, where and as indicated on these contract documents prepared by the architects and engineers. properly recycle/ dispose of all materials. install new structural framing below the roof decks to support new mechanical equipment loads. provide and install new mechanical, plumbing, and electrical equipment and fixtures in both buildings as indicated. patch architectural interior surfaces and finishes disturbed by the work, provide new ceiling systems as shown. inspect and repair roof decks as necessary where damage is encountered. patch existing roof membranes in areas disturbed by the mechanical or structural work, especially at new roof curbs and where existing equipment was removed. verify that roof curbs comply with roof system warranty requirements provide and install complete new water tight modified bitumen roof system including cover board, rigid insulation, walk pads and acrylic coating at the roof over the kitchen in building # 1006. appropriate trades person to modify, remove and reinstall, or extend any mechanical, electrical, plumbing (including gas), cctv, telephone, antennae, sound, or lighting facilities, etc. found to obstruct the work of this project. the project will take place during the school year while the campus is occupied.
