Remodeling of a transportation facility in Arlington, Texas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a transportation facility.
**As of June 20, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on June 24, 2025.** The Arlington Municipal Airport is seeking to remodel and revitalize its current FBO facility to be upgraded for dual use service to accommodate its first eVTOL operations. The Airport will introduce infrastructure upgrades to support eVTOL operations but also revitalize and rebrand the existing building with an upgraded look to match its future outlook. The revitalization work includes a new facade, windows, entry canopies and new RTUs. Additionally the interior work includes the lobby, lounges and other work/amenity spaces inclusive of flooring, ceiling, doors and wall treatments. The airport seeks to greet passengers with an aesthetic that is comfortable, inviting and modern. The reimaged facility is intended to be a key component in setting the vision for the airport's future. Site scope is primarily associated with the installation of an Aircraft EV Charging facility and the various misc. projects. This includes the extension of underground for Oncor electrical, relocating of existing accessible parking spaces for Oncor electrical equipment, and some airfield pavement adjustments for the airfield electrical equipment. A bidding alternative is included for airfield pavement markings. Some components of the project will be owner supplied and contractor installed. The project will be managed by Hill Building Group, a CREDE Company and the architect firm is KimleyHorn and PGAL. The estimated construction budget is $1,700,000.00. The intent of this solicitation is for the selection of a Construction Management firm for the FBO Building Remodel project located at Arlington Municipal Airport (the "Project"), in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this CSP. The FBO remodel project aims to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the existing facility, ensuring it meets the current and future needs of airport operations, customers, and staff. The remodel will also allow for the operation and charging of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
