Bessemer Elementary School Fence Installation to Secure Play Areas The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to install chain link fencing to secure designated play areas. The installation will include two (2) pedestrian gates and two (2) vehicle gates. Fence Installation Install 4' high fencing. Material Specifications: o 9-gauge galvanized chain-link fence, knuckled ends on top and bottom (no barbed wire). o 3" terminal posts (for corners, turns, ends, and gate hinges), schedule 40, concreted 2' below ground. o 2 1/2 " line posts, schedule 40, concreted 1'6" below ground. o Top rail, 1 5/8" schedule 20. o Posts must be set in wet concrete mix at a maximum spacing of 10' centers. o Tension wire to be installed at the bottom of the fencing. o 4' pedestrian swinging gates with a lockable latch, made of 2" schedule 40 pipe. The contractor is responsible for measuring the area or following the provided drawing. o The contractor is required to locate and mark underground utilities before drilling holes. o All work must be performed in a professional manner, adhering to safety and quality standards.
