Questions regarding the bid should be directed in writing to Vannoy-McFarland, a Joint Venture (ATTN: Chris Roberson, email: chris.roberson@jrvannoy.com) A brief description of work in the project follows: the procurement of long-lead electrical equipment; demolition and abatement of buildings and structures; provisions for temporary parking and access to the existing school, including bus loop and car-rider drop-off loop. The work associated with this project has been organized into four bid packages: BP#02.20 - Temporary Roads and Parking, BP#02.41 - Abatement and Demolition, BP#26.10 - Electrical Switchboard, and BP#2620 - Engine Generator and Transfer Switches. All work assigned to each bid package shall be included in a single subcontract to the successful prequalified bidder for each bid package. Bidders must be properly licensed for the work in accordance with Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. Bid Bonds are not required for this project. Performance and Payment Bonds may be required for certain subcontracts of elevated value or risk. Bids may not be withdrawn or changed for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. E-Verify Requirements: This project requires the awarded vendor to comply with the requirements of E-Verify. (U.S. law requiring companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States - either U.S. citizens, or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization.) NC Lunsford Act Requirements: This project requires the awarded vendor to comply with the requirements of the NC Lunsford Act. (N.C. law requiring companies to conduct criminal background checks on each of its employees who engage in any service on school district property, and not assign assign any employee to provide those services if the employee's background check fails to comply with the prescribed criteria.
