Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Morinville, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 65,000-square-foot, two-story above grade, 740-seat educational facility.

Design and construction of a new school located on the same site with the existing school that it will replace. The Morinville Public School Replacement will be a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school operated by the Sturgeon School Division in Morinville, Alberta. The replacement school will have an opening capacity of 740 students with 6,016 m² gross floor area. The project also includes the demolition of the existing school and one (1) existing shed & one (1) Quonset hut including site remediation to a new condition. There are currently 18 existing Modular School Classroom Units forming part of the existing school. 12 of the modular units will be removed and relocated prior to the start of the Work of this Contract. The remaining 6 modular units will be relocated by the School board and is not forming part of this Contract. The Province has engaged a Bridging Consultant to develop the Schematic Design and submit the Development Permit documentation to the town of Morinville. The Bridging Consultant will serve as the Province’s representative throughout the design and construction phases of the project. The project delivery method will be Design-Build (DB). The Design Builder will be required to develop the design from the development permit to construction documents and obtain any permits and/or approvals required from authorities having jurisdiction. The project delivery method will be DESIGN-BUILD.
