The work scope includes, but is not limited to, the removal of the existing access platform with gratings around the rotary drum screen; removal, rehabilitation, and reinstallation of the rotary drum screen, along with replacing its existing base with a new galvanized steel base; removal and replacement of the garbage chute; removal and replacement of a section of the existing force main piping that conveys raw wastewater to the rotary drum screen; installation of a new box-type manual bar screen, modification and addition of guard railings, addition of platform lighting; modification and addition of piping and valves to direct raw wastewater to the new manual bar screen; adjustment to existing air diffuser header, installation of a galvanized steel platform with FRP gratings; installation of a galvanized steel staircase; removal of section of the existing galvanized steel gratings and replacement with FRP gratings over the influent channel; addition of a dumpster drain pad with a drain line; installation of a 6-cubic-yard dumpster with roller wheels; and replacements of gaskets on air header line, in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. A cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance, payment and maintenance bonds for the full amount of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
