Site work and new construction of a civil project in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project includes the construction of a new 4 MG prestressed concrete water storage tank and 4 MGD CMU booster pump station at the existing Everett Road storage tank and booster station site. The booster station will include five (5) vertical in-line centrifugal pumps with variable frequency drives, one (1) hydropneumatic tank, and one (1) overhead bridge crane. Included in this Project is the installation of Owner-procured electrical gear including the main service entrance, breaker, major equipment panel, smaller equipment panels, automatic transfer switch, and 400-kW generator. This Project includes other various site improvements including yard piping, stormwater conveyance piping, electrical, and instrumentation and controls. Question Deadline 05/01/2025 at 5:00 PM ET The deadline for submitting questions is All questions shall be sent in writing to Seth Fischer (sfischer@fudknox.org), no verbal questions or responses will be accepted. Bid security shall be furnished in the amount of five percent of the total bid amount in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid. Owner's right is reserved to reject all Bids or any Bid not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Bidding Documents. No bidder may withdraw his bid within (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Work will be completed in all respects (Final Completion) within 450 calendar days and/or no later than September 30, 2026 as stated in the Agreement. This project is supported by American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Coronavirus State and Local Recovery Fund grant funding, and is subject to specific federal restrictions and requirements. The Owner hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The Owner is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Any contract that uses federal funds to pay for construction work is a ""federally assisted construction contract"" and must include the equal opportunity clause found in 2 C.F.R. Part 200, unless otherwise stated in 41 C.F.R. Part 60. We encourage all small and minority owned firms and women's business enterprises to participate. Further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award refer to the Instructions to Bidder that is included in the Bidding Documents. A detailed listing of all subcontractors shall be provided by the Bidder. In accordance with the Contract Documents, documentation that the prospective General Contractor and its subcontractors meet minimum qualifications shall be provided and submitted. Subcontractors must also not appear on at online disbarment list. Mark-ups on subcontractor work or Cost Plus Overhead will be disallowed for reimbursement.
