Question Deadline 04/25/2025 The City of Belton is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the Belton Police Department Evidence Room Renovation. The City of Belton, Missouri is accepting bids for renovations to be completed in the evidence room to include wall construction, ventilation, door and lock installation and drop ceiling repair. o Construction of a 12 ft wall (2x6 construction) extending up 15 ft and connecting into the truss style roof. o Construction of a 15ft wall (2x6 construction) extending up 15 ft and connecting into the truss style roof. o Installation of a heavy-duty steel door with electronic "key card" locking mechanism on the 12 ft wall. o Drywall finishing and painting of listed walls. o Installation of a ventilation system capable of evacuating fumes / particles from the room through a cinder block style wall. o Repair / replacement of drop-style ceiling and panels at the entry to the evidence room. o Replacement of 15 CFL fixtures with energy efficient LED fixtures. o Must be city-licensed and insured. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a surety or certified check from a bank acceptable to the Chief of Police in the amount equal to or greater than 5% of the maximum total bid price. Prior acceptability of the proposed surety or bank furnishing the bid security before the bid date is recommended. An unacceptable bid security may be cause for rejection of the proposal. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities or deficiencies therein to negotiate with any or all bidders or others for more favorable terms or prices and to award a contract to other than the bidder submitting the lowest cost bid proposal with or without negotiation and to determine which is the lowest, best, and most responsive to accept, at its option, any alternates and to approve the bond.
