Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Redding, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a clubhouse / community center; for paving for a clubhouse / community center; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Work includes the construction of a 6-foot-wide bituminous concrete walking path around the fields at the Redding Community Center. The Town reserves the right to reject bids for any reason; to wave informalities and technicalities; and to accept the bid which the town deems to be in its best interest, whether or not it is the lowest cost bid. The Town reserves the right to review the bids and reject all bids, or take no action, or elect not to select any bid. The Town also reserves the right to cancel the bid at any time and to re-issue this or a substitute Invitation to Bid at a later date. In its sole discretion and without prejudice, the Town will award a contract to the bidder that it feels is best suited to complete the scope of services. This bid does not constitute a contract or offer of employment. The Town reserves the right to negotiate with any bidder any amendments to the Contract. Question Deadline 04/15/2025 Questions about this invitation to bid shall be submitted to Ginger Fiore at gfiore@reddingct.gov. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g, as amended. (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. including, but not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Review of existing conditions and subsurface data. 2. Provide and install new construction fence/safety fence as necessary in locations as directed by the Owner and Engineer. 3. Provide and install project signs as directed by the Owner and Engineer.
