Renovation of a stadium in Redding, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
The goal of this project is to provide code compliant bathrooms and two team rooms for the high school athletic fields under one structure. The recommended site for this project is the current entrance to the high school stadium complex. We would like the successful architect firm (the "A/E") to consider the existing structures in Figure 1 when developing the final design. Background : The Joel Barlow High School was built in 1958 with major additions in 2001. The stadium complex at Joel Barlow High School was constructed in 1982, and renovated in 2015. The improvements completed for the fall of 2015 include: a new synthetic athletic playing turf, game lighting enhancements, and track resurfacing. In addition, the upgraded bleacher seating and accessibility improvements were made for guests with disabilities. In the summer and fall of 2023 additional enhancements were made including an installation of a new synthetic surface on Field J and construction of additional parking. All Requests for Information (including questions) must be received no later than 5:00 P.M. on November 22, 2023 to mdagostino@er9.org. Requests for Information and the BOE responses thereto will be posted on November 28, 2022. The BOE reserves the right to reject any or all proposed subcontractors.
