*As of June 2, 2025 this project has been awarded to SC Construction Materials at the bid amount of $500,294.86. Adams County Chip and Seal Project. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty or Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and sub-contractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their project. Contractor must comply with the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code, Chapter 13, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972 and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. this project provides for the preparation and application of a single chip seal surfacing/resurfacing of the following roads: Hackleshin 4.6 Louden 2.7 Poplar Grove 4.7 Mayhill 2.2 Conaway 4.0 Strait Creek 1.8 Tater Knob 4.0 Elmville 2.0 Union Hill 1.3 Dunlap 0.9 Black Hollow 1.5 McCoy 0.4 Total 30.1 Miles Project Work Scope Contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to complete the project in accordance with all plans, specifications and requirements. The general work scope includes: o ODOT 422 Chip Seal o Contractor is responsible for any road preparation (brooming, removing debris, etc.) just before the product is to be applied. o Contractor may be asked to sweep the excess stone off any or all roads after the road has been given some time to settle. All bidders must submit evidence that they are pre-qualified with the Ohio Department of Transportation for the type of work required by this project. The right is reserved to waive irregularities and reject any and/or all bids by order of the Adams County Board of Commissioners.
