Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; for asbestos abatement for a pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.

The general scope of work includes site clearing, grading, utility installation, paving, and the construction of a new septic system as outlined in the Drawings and Project Manual. Phase I consists of constructing a 4,556-square-foot District Office with a paved parking lot, wood framing (with an optional steel stud frame), a brick veneer exterior, and wood trusses supporting a standing seam metal roof. The building will feature a variable refrigerant flow mechanical system and an emergency generator connected to the existing building per electrical specifications. Additionally, a 3,000-square-foot Labor Room will be constructed as a pre-engineered metal building with a screw-down metal roof and metal building insulation. Phase II will involve the demolition of the existing office building, including necessary asbestos abatement. Additionally, existing septic systems designated for removal will be decommissioned, and a redesigned septic system will be installed for buildings requiring an updated system. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, Bidder's license number, and name of the project. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Alabama Department of Transportation in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance (Certificates of Insurance) are required with the sealed bid documents.
