The Work to be performed for the 2025 12 Eighth Avenue Valve Replacement Project consists of the following: Provide materials and labor to replace 1-16" Valve and 2-20" Valves on Eighth Avenue in the City of Bethlehem, Lehigh County, as more particularly specified in the Contract Documents. The Bid for the 2025 12 Eighth Avenue Valve Replacement Project (PROJECT) shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or bid bond. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the Bid opening, unless an award of the contract is delayed by the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant, in which case all bids shall remain effective for one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from the date of the Bid opening. On or before the last day during which bids shall be effective, if a contract will be awarded it shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. After issuance of the Notice of Award, such contract must be completed within 180 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The successful bidders will be required to provide Construction Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount as specified in the contract documents, which bonds shall also cover a 1-year correction period which will commence upon completion of the Work.
