Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County, Facilities and Maintenance Performance and/or Design Requirements (e.g. intended use, function or application, compatibility, requirements; reference to policy, rule, statute or other act of the Legislature, etc., as appropriate): The FDOH of Miami Dade County Facilities and Maintenance department has the need to purchase annual maintenance service agreements for its existing Trane heating and cooling HVAC systems. This system was engineered by Trane and is a fully integrated computerized system. Justification for Single Source Purchase (what is necessary and unique about the product, services or source; steps taken to confirm unavailability of competition, as appropriate): Trane is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for all mechanical equipment and the automation system needed for cooling and heating needs and has exclusive rights to all upgrades, modifications, and enhancements required to maintain continuity of the HVAC equipment and the building automation system
