Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Victor, Idaho. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Site Directions: Map link provided in bidding documents Work will not start earlier than August 4, 2025, or later than September 29, 2025, and must be completed within 75 working days of starting construction. Once started, work must continuously progress until completion, except for paving. If all project structure and roadway work items are complete, and weather does not permit project 405 paving to occur within the specification requirements, time may be suspended by the Engineer until weather allows. Provide a formal request to the Engineer for approval of this time suspension. If granted, contract time will resume no later than April 1, 2026. Depending on weather limitations paving may be delayed and will not be counted against the contract working days. The project will be considered substantially complete when the road is open to vehicles and at minimum with a gravel surface. Demobilization, remobilization to the project, regrading, and compaction of aggregate base surface necessary prior to HMA paving in the spring is incidental to item 405-435A. Contractor will pay additional costs incurred by the project for failure to meet in-stream work milestones, including costs to modify permits, fines charged, and damages to irrigation users. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game has provided an in-water work window for this project from August 1st to May 15th . The bridge is to be opened with an aggregate base driving surface by April 15, 2026. This project is located at S 1000 W Road between State Highway 31 and W 8000 S, crossing over Trail Creek. It is on the west side of the City of Victor, Idaho. Additional work includes roadway construction, temporary traffic control, placement of channel riprap, and domestic water main modifications.
