A brief description of work in the project follows: Roof Size is approximately 46,000 sqft on 10 roof sections. Removal of existing spray foam roofing, gravel surfaced built-up roof/insulation systems down to wood, metal and concrete decks. Perform masonry repair and repointing to inside of parapets. Power broom and remove gravel from main roof. Install mechanically fastened and fully adhered insulation systems, cover board and fleece backed PVC roofing system. Remove and replace wet insulation areas on main roof on unit price basis. Mechanically fasten coverboard and insulation crickets over main roof. Fully adhere fleece backed PVC single-ply membrane fully adhered to the cover board. Install new through wall scuppers and drainage components including underground tie-ins. Roofing system installation shall require on-going inspections by the Membrane Manufacturer during the installation process and will be eligible to receive a 20-year NDL material and labor warranty, full-system including the insulation and membrane. furnish all materials and labor for the roof replacement of Cone Elementary School, Greensboro, NC. For bidding purposes, job start is estimated to be June 2025. Completion date is 180 calendar days after receiving a notice to proceed from the Owner. The resulting contract will be to furnish all labor, supervision, materials and equipment necessary to perform the work as shown on the plans and described in the project specifications. A 5% bid security as well as a 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required for this project. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days. Bidders must be properly licensed for the work in accordance with Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. General Contractors must have a general license classification for at least UNLIMITED BUILDING or S (ROOFING) in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors. Minority businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The appropriate forms from the section entitled "Participation by Women and Minority Owned Businesses" must be submitted with each bid to show good faith efforts to obtain Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise participation.
