Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Daytona Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Question Submission Deadline May 1, 2025, 11:59pm Project Description The project consists of asphalt milling and overlay, removal of designated green spaces, and installation of sidewalks in those areas. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: Asphalt Mill and Overlay: Removal of the existing asphalt surface to a specified depth and replacement with a new asphalt overlay to restore roadway integrity and improve driving conditions. Green Space Removal: Excavation and removal of designated green spaces to make way for new sidewalk installations. Sidewalk Installation: Construction of new concrete sidewalks in areas where green spaces were removed, ensuring compliance with applicable accessibility and safety standards. Signage Handling: Existing signs will be carefully removed and reinstalled in appropriate locations upon project completion. Car Stop Replacement: Existing car stops will be removed, and new ones will be installed as part of the improvements. Tree Removal: Tree removal will be conducted by others and is not included in this solicitation. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental requirements. The contractor shall coordinate with relevant stakeholders to minimize disruptions and ensure efficient project execution. Correction to remove trees o Millings to be stockpiled at designated location on site near proposed milling parking area. o Contractor responsible for phasing plan and coordination, Corrections to review and approve. o Parking lot will be occupied at all times and close coordination with Corrections and POC to relocate staff and public parking during these phased events. o Contractor will be responsible for removing, storing, and reinstalling all signs o Contractor to remove, store and reinstall or replace curb stops o Before millings are placed in overflow parking area, contractor responsible for clearing and grubbing, grading grassed areas, then place millings 3" thick from east side of drive isle to the limits of the proposed limits or as far as the material will go Full width. Replace and anchor old curb stops. Volusia County Branch Jail Parking Lot .
