Site work for a civil project in Colfax, North Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and road / highway.
The project shall include the construction of Colfax Reserve 1 st Addition in Colfax, ND consisting of new sanitary sewer main and services, watermain and services, roadway embankment, pond excavation, aggregate surface course and other miscellaneous items. The project will consist of the following approximate quantities: 878 LF 8 PVC Sanitary Sewer Pipe 2,450 LF 10 PVC Pipe Water Main 1,051 LF 4 Sewer Service Pipe 2,669 LF 6 PVC Pipe Water Main 1,046 LF 1 Water Service Pipe 15,920 CY Unclassified Pond Excavation 2,450 TON Aggregate Surface Course CL 13 8,180 SY Geogrid 8,180 SY Subgrade Prep 31 Acres Seeding 3 Acres Hydromulch 17,603 CY Topsoil 1 EA Pond Aerator 1 Lump Sum Lighting System Traffic Control and all miscellaneous work necessary therefor and incidental thereto. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this regulation concern utilization of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women s Business Enterprises (WBE), and Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and are explained in the specifications. The goal for MBE is 2% of the total dollar value of the project. The goal for WBE is 3% of the total dollar value of the project. To demonstrate a good faith effort to comply, bidders must include the MBE/WBE subcontractor solicitation form in the bid package. The bid shall be accompanied by a Bidder s Bond in a separate envelope in the amount of five percent (5%) of the full amount of the bid, executed by the Bidder as Principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in North Dakota. If the Principal s bid is accepted by the City of Colfax and the contract awarded, the principal, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award, will be required to execute and effect a contract in accordance with the terms of the principal s bid and any requirements and conditions of the Owner. The work is to commence upon a date to be specified by the OWNER, notice of which will be given to the suc cessful bidder ten (10) days in advance of the start of construc tion. The Contractor will be required to commence construction and complete all of the work for the project by November 1, 2025. All bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their bids, as required by Section 43 07 07 of the North Dakota Century Code and a copy of the license or certificate of renewal thereof issued shall be enclosed in the required bid bond envelope. The OWNER retains the right to reject any or all of the bids submit ted and to waive any informality in any bid and to hold all bids for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from said date of opening and to hold the three low bids and bid securities for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from said date of bid opening.
