James Drive Improvements Project Category Code: Street/Road Repairs, Paving (Highway, Road or Street) Description: The scope of work to be completed under this project generally consists of: roadway and ditch grading/shaping, subgrade preparation, geotextile fabric, bituminous paving, and erosion and sediment control. Improvements and related items consist of the following approximate quantities: 1 LS Mobilization; 1 LS Traffic Control; 1 LS SWPPP Implementation & Maintenance; 23 STA - Roadway and Ditch Grading/Shaping; 5,200 CY Unclassified Export; 7,500 SY Geosynthetic Material - Type R1; 4,500 TN Aggregate Base Course; 6,700 SY Concrete Pavement - 7 inch; 3,350 SY Bituminous Pavement - 6 inch (alternate bid); and other related work items. Project will be divided into two phases; each phase is approximately half the quantity listed for each item. Project is a Special Assessment District. Phase 1 will be awarded subject to Township budget limits for the project; Phase 2 may be awarded if landowners agree to enter into the Special Assessment District. All Bids shall be prepared according to the Instructions to Bidders contained within the Project Manual. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bid Security in the form of a Bidder's Bond executed by the Bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of North Dakota, payable to Williston Township, in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the Bid. A certified check in lieu of a surety company in the amount of 5% of the total project cost will not be accepted. This is to serve as a guarantee that the successful Bidder will enter into a Contract within fifteen (15) days of Notice of Award, in accordance with the terms of the principal's Bid and Contractor's Bond as required by law and regulations and determinations of Williston Township for the performance of such Work.
