The City of Stone Mountain is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for STREET REPAIR,PATCHING, AND PAVING. Work required under the contract will include asphalt milling and paving, replacement of distress pavement areas, subgrade repairs as necessary, all traffic maintenance and safe movement of emergency vehicles during construction on the following city streets: Redwood Court from Pepperwood Trail to cul-de-sac Zachary Court from Zachary Court to cul-de-sac Rosewood Drive from Lucille Ave to Pepperwood Trail Ridgemont Court from Ridge Forest Drive to cul-de-sac VFW Drive Mimosa to Cloud, Cloud to dead end Veal Street from JB Rivers to Central Leon Street from Mimosa to Manor W. Rock borough Court from Rock borough Drive to cul-de-sacE. Rock borough Court from Rock borough Drive to cul-de-sac N. Questions will be received up to Friday, April 10, 2025 at 5:00 pm. All Bidders are required to submit a Bid Bond or a certified check made payable to the City of Stone Mountain in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract performance bond and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required by the contract documents. The Bid Bond or certified check must been closed in the envelope with the sealed bid. Bonding Company must be licensed to do business in Georgia, licensed to do business by the Georgia Secretary of State, authorized to do business in Georgia by the Georgia Insurance Department, listed in the Department of the Treasurys Publication of Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Surety on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies and have an A.M. Best rating of A-, Class V or higher. The Owner will award the Contract to the lowest qualified bidder, subject with the Owner's right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interests.
