The Engineer will assist the Parish in publicly advertising the project for competitive bids in accordance with public bid law, tabulate bids, and make a recommendation of award. The Engineer shall assist in processing contract documents, agreements, and bonds. The scope of work includes assisting the Parish in taking previously prepared design plans and hydraulic calculations to develop a public bid package for procurement of a construction contractor; providing bidding assistance, contract documents preparations, construction administration services, construction observation, and closeout for the installation of the installation of roadway drainage improvements at seven (7) public roadways throughout the Parish (Airbase Road, Ash Street, Kateland Gin Road, Nellie Ryan and Peters Road, O'Quin Spur Road, Rose Loop, and Shadow Road. The work includes removal of undersized drains and installation of new enlarged drain crossings and roadway repairs.
