The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to perform planned and unplanned/on-call street sweeping/cleaning services, in accordance of the performance specifications herein, within the District for the James River Bridge and George P. Coleman Bridge. Services wi11 be performed on an "AS NEEDED" basis throughout the contract period. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, traffic control per the most recent version of the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (VWAPM) and any other incidentals necessary to meet the requirements of the performance specifications stated within. The work shall consist of street sweeping/cleaning (per the requirements in this Invitation For Bid) and removal and disposal of all debris. The Contractor shall be capable of commencing work within fifteen (15) calendar days after the contract is awarded. The Contractor shall complete the work as identified by the Contract Administrator. Large debris and dead animal pickup are not part of the required services, although shall be removed from the roadway surface to allow fordisposal by others. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 3:00 PM EDT on April 7, 2025. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From May 4, 2025, through May 3, 2026 (renewable) VDOT reserves the right to review and evaluate Bidders' equipment prior to Notice of Intent to Award or at any time after contract award. Any equipment evaluations will be conducted in accordance with the specifications outlines in this IFB and the Contractor's equipment as presented and listed on the Vendor Qualification/Equipment Inventory Certification Form (Attachment C). VDOT reserves the right to reject any piece of equipment that does not meet the requirements or specifications as stated herein. If equipment is rejected, Contractor will have seven (7) calendar days to provide a replacement and receive approval from VDOT.
