Renovation of a water / sewer project in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,790-square-foot water / sewer project.
The Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD or the District) requests bids for GBT Building Roof Replacement. Specifications are available below. Any questions should be directed to Brady Lessner at (608) 709-1848 or rfp@madsewer.org. Only formal written addenda can materially alter the specifications. No verbal statement made by a District employee or anyone else is binding nor shall such a statement be considered an official part of this public proposal. All bid responses and their contents will be public record. The District is federal and state tax exempt. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any technicality and accept any proposal which may, in its opinion, be advantageous to the district. Any questions may be directed to: Brady Lessner Maintenance Project Specialist Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District 1610 Moorland Rd Madison, WI 53713 (608) 709-1848 rfp@madsewer.org The GBT Building Roof Replacement Project includes the removal and replacement of a ballasted EPDM single ply membrane roof system and all ancillary components. The roof area is approximately 2,790 sq. ft. with a perimeter of 216 ft. The project is located at the Nine Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1610 Moorland Road, Madison, Wisconsin. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any technicality and accept any bid that may, in its opinion, be advantageous to the District. In connection with the performance of work under this contract, the contractor agrees not to discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, handicap, sex, physical condition, developmental disability, or national origin. This provision shall include, but not be limited to, the following: employment, upgrading, demotion, or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff and termination; rates of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training, including apprenticeship. The Contractor further agrees to post in conspicuous places, available for employees and applicants for employment, notices setting forth the provisions of this nondiscrimination clause. A pre-bid conference is not required. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount at least equal to 100% of the Contract price, as security for the faithful performance of this Contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing materials in connection with this Contract, including without limitations because of specific enumeration therein all of the items mentioned in Section 779.14 (1m)(e) Wisconsin Statutes. The Performance Bond and the Payment Bond shall each run for the life of the Contract including any guarantee or warranty periods. The Owner may, in the Owner's sole discretion, waive requirement for a Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by Supplementary Conditions. The form of the Performance Bond and the Payment Bond shall be EJCDC C 610, Performance Bond (2010, 2013, or 2018 edition) and EJCDC C 615, Payment Bond (2010, 2013, or 2018 edition). If the Bidder whose bid is accepted should fail to execute the proper Contract within the time allowed as stated herein, the Owner may award the Contract to another bidder and the certified check or bid bond of the first-mentioned bidder shall be forfeited.
