Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Milledgeville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractor or a registered Georgia Department of Transportation SubContractor. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Fishing Creek Trail Extension - Downtown Connector as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of +/- 2973 linear feet of ten-foot-wide concrete multipurpose trail, grading, storm drainpipe, pedestrian railing, erosion control, grassing and all associated measures for the complete project. Time allotted for completion of work is 180 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and ready for contract close-out with 194 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with "A" minimum rating performance and financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price aslisted in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner. Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to re-advertise.
