POOL CLEANING SERVICES (OUTDOOR) Specifications: 1. Important Instructions for Electronic Submittal The City of Newark is accepting electronic bid submissions. Bidders shall create a FREE account with ProcureNow by signing up at https://secure.procurenow.com/signup. Once you have completed account registration, browse back to this page, click on "Submit Response", and follow the instructions to submit the electronic bid. 2. Scope of Work SCOPE/INTENT The City of Newark intends to enter into a contract/agreement with an experienced pool cleaning vendor to clean (4) municipal pools 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday). Pool Locations: Bo Porter Pool, 379 Lyons Ave, Boylan Pool, 916 South Orange Ave, Hayes West Pool 378 Boyd St., Rotunda Pool, 75 Clifton Ave. All work shall comply with all applicable governmental regulations, customary quality standards and accepted good practice for the type of work being performed. 3. Requirement The Contractor shall meet the following requirements but not limited to: _ The vendor will be responsible for cleaning and removing all debris from four outdoor pools in the City of Newark commencing on Monday, May 12 - Friday, August 29 _ The vendor will ensure all equipment meets industry standards for pool maintenance and cleaning. In addition, the vendor must ensure that all pool equipment is cleaned before going to another site so no bacteria is carried to the next pool. _ The vendor is responsible for reaching out to the Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs & Senior Services for any delay or absence on company's part _ The vendor will advise the Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs & Senior Services of any deficiencies with pool prior to or during cleaning. _ The vendor will ensure all pool cleaning equipment meets industry standards for pool maintenance and cleaning. In addition, the vendor must ensure that all pool equipment is cleaned before going to another site so no bacteria is carried to the next pool. _ The pool cleaning shall be made during normal City working hours commencing on Monday, May 12 - Friday, August 29. (Monday - Friday) 4. Pricing All prices quoted on the Price Schedule Sheet must be firm. The Quote must reflect all of the bidder's costs (labor, materials and supplies, transportation, shipping and handling, etc.) necessary to provide the service specified. Any additional expenses incurred by the bidder that are not included in the prices quoted herein will not be approved by the City. 5. Payment _ In consideration of the faithful performance by the contractor of its agreement hereunder, the City covenants and agrees to pay to the contractor during the term of this contract the prices quoted in the Bid Proposal submitted. _ No payment will be made unless duly authorized by the City of Newark's authorized representative and accompanied by proper documentation. _ Payment will be made in accordance with the City of Newark's policy and procedures and in accordance with the New Jersey Prompt Payment Act (N.J.S.A. 52:32-32) _ The City of Newark reserves the right to award this contract in whole or in part.
