The vendor is to provide factory trained technical staff to develop layout drawings, piping modifications, pump replacement, motor replacement, and startup services for the replacement of two Wastewater Chopper Pumps and appurtenances at the Southeast Water Reclamation. Questions Due Date: Apr 18th 2025, 2:00 PM CDT Online Portal 1.1.The vendor shall be responsible for attending pre-bid meetings and gathering onsite data collection including site conditions, pipe measurements and type, flow conditions, and all pertinent information needed to submit a complete proposal to replace all needed elements to replace existing chopper pumps. 1.2.Vendor shall include with their proposal shop drawings that detail all proposed pumps, motors, piping adapters, reducer spools, pedestal modifications and/or replacements, dresser couplings, etc. to make the chopper pumps fit into place, as intended. 1.3.The vendor will gather onsite required measurements to determine exact piping and pedestal modifications needed to replace two (2) vertical pedestal mounted chopper pumps. 1.4.Using the field data gathered, the vendor shall submit proposed shop drawings to the City including measurements depicting all proposed pedestal and piping modifications to accept the new pumps. 1.5.After review and approval by the City, the vendor shall supply all proposed pumps, motors, piping adapters, reducer spools, pedestal modifications and/or replacements, dresser couplings, etc. to make the chopper pumps fit into place, as intended. All components shall be delivered to the job site and thoroughly inspected before installation work begins. 1.6.The vendor shall coordinate dismantling of existing equipment with City's representative to prepare for the installation the new equipment. Removal of old pumps and associated components will need to be performed. 1.7.The vendor shall utilize the existing concrete mounting pedestal and install any necessary framing pedestals between the pump assembly and the concrete pedestal. The pedestal shall withstand vibration associated with normal operating conditions. 1.8.The vendor shall coordinate delivery of all equipment with the Owner's Representative. All equipment shall be furnished as outlined within these specifications. No additional purchases shall be required to make the unit(s) operational as specified. 1.9.In addition, the vendor shall be responsible for complete installation of required piping and pedestal modifications to accept the new chopper pumps and motors. 1.10. The vendor shall furnish all staffing, tools, supplies, and equipment to completely install the new pumps and motors described within the specifications.
