the New Jersey Sustainable Energy Joint Meeting ("NJSEM") is requesting bids from electric power suppliers duly licensed by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities for electric generation service for approximately 165 participating local government entities. The NJSEM has issued a Request for Bids ("RFB") in accordance with the "Electric Discount and Energy Competition Act," P.L. 1999, c. 23, ("EDECA"); "Local Public Contracts Law," (N.J.S.A 40A:11-1 et seq.); the Local Unit Electronic Procurement Act P.L. 2018, c.156; and all applicable regulations and standards promulgated thereunder (hereafter referred to collectively as "the Applicable Law"). Interested suppliers will have the opportunity to supply electric generation service to as many as an estimated 5,000 participating electric accounts located within the service territories of Public Service Electric and Gas, Jersey Central Power and Light, Atlantic City Electric and Rockland Electric. Optional bid document and contract related questions will be accepted by NJSEM until 5:00 p.m. on April 15, 2024. Additional optional account data related questions may be submitted until 5:00 p.m. on April 28, 2025. Responses to supplier questions related to the RFB and contract documents and any addendum to the RFB will be distributed to suppliers on the Bid Distribution List by no later than close of business on April 21. If additional account data related questions are submitted by April 28, another addendum will be issued no later than close of business on May 2, 2025.
