2024 Sst Bergenline Avenue Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Project Bergenline Avenue Traffic Signal Upgrades. The Township of North Bergen is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide the Township with upgrades to two traffic signals along Bergenline Avenue from 85th Street to 87th Street in the Township of North Bergen, New Jersey. All bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the words 2024 SST Bergenline Avenue Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Project Bergenline Avenue Traffic Signal Upgrades. Bid proposals must be addressed to the Township of North Bergen, 4233 Kennedy Boulevard, North Bergen, New Jersey 07047, Attention: Purchasing Agent. Delivery of bids may be in person, by overnight courier, or by mail. The Township of North Bergen reserves the right to waive informalities on bids and to reject any and all bids, if deemed in the best interest of the Township to do so. MBE (60%), WBE (6.9%) The work for this project includes, but it not necessarily limited to the following major work items: a) The replacement of all traffic signal heads and pedestrian signal heads including the installation of new traffic signal standard and pedestrian signal standards at the location indicated on the plans. b) The removal and installation of traffic striping & markings and signage at locations indicated on the plans. c) Construction of concrete vertical curb, concrete sidewalk, ADA compliant curb ramps at locations indicated on the plans. d) Milling and overlaying the intersections. e) All related incidental work, including traffic control, dust control, soil erosion control, cleaning and restoration. 2. The contractor shall be responsible for the location of all utilities and to schedule all work involved with utilities. Any cost related to this coordination shall be included in the various items in the proposal. 3. The intersection installations included as part of this project are funded by the NJDOT State Aid program. 4. Contractors will be responsible for on-site safety and shall provide a qualified on-site safety appointee at all times for the duration of the project.
