All labor, material and equipment associated with the upgrade and modernization of four passenger elevators in these twin existing thirteen story buildings. The work will be performed in an occupied building and must be phased and coordinated with the Housing Authority. One elevator in each building must be operational at all times. The Base Bid work must be completed in 280 calendar days. Bidders must provide a certified check or bank draft payable to the Housing Authority of the Township of North Bergen, United States Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent of the Bid. The surety company must be licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey. Attention is called to the provision of Equal Opportunity Employment and Prevailing Wages for payments not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Specification. Women and Minority Owned Business Contractors are encouraged to submit bids. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority of the Township of North Bergen. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder. Successful service providers are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A 10:5-31 Ex seq, and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.
