For double application of approximately 37,798 SY of CRS-2PM (E-3M) Polymer-Modified Cationic Emulsified Asphalt with Type A, washed No. 8 coarse aggregate on various Township roadways; and an Asphalt Seal Coat with Slurry Seal(approximately 14,675 square yards) on Hickory Lane. Contractor shall be responsible for street sweeping roadway surfaces prior to application, traffic control, and street sweeping excess stone from the road following application. Bids must be made on forms furnished by the Township (via PennBid) and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of at least (10%) of the total price bid made payable to the Township. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Insurance; Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of One Hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price; and a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price; with a corporate surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and approved by the Township, in accordance with bid specifications. Award of Contract, if Contract is awarded, will be based on the Total Base Bid, or Total Base Bid plus Alternate Bid, at the sole discretion of Springfield Township; and will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Springfield Township reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities.
