The work for which bids are invited consists of: Part 1 of the plans will include everything shown as to performed on the Part 1 Sequencing Exhibit. This includes, but is not limited to: pavement base course, curb, sidewalk (as shown), utilities, erosion control, and some landscaping. If a Bidder contemplating submitting a Bid for the proposed Project is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Contract Documents, it may submit a written request for an interpretation thereof to Brian Saunders, Project Manager in writing on the form included with the Contract Documents. The City will make any interpretation of the proposed documents by Addendum only, duly signed by the City, and a copy of such Addendum will delivered to each Bidder(via Bid Express) receiving a set of Contract Documents and each plan room where the City maintains the Contract Documents. The City will not be responsible for any other explanation or interpretation of the proposed documents. b. In interpreting the Contract Documents, the Bidder shall interpret words describing materials that have a well-known technical or trade meaning, unless otherwise specifically defined in the Contract Documents, in accordance with the well-known meaning recognized by the trade. The CITY OF NEW ALBANY may choose to not award the bid--and bidders shall hold bids open--until sixty days after the bid opening.
