Sealed bids for Bus Shelter Installation and ADA Improvements The selected contractor will perform the following work: a. Install up to twenty-six (26) new bus stop shelters (Location List in Section 1.6) o The bus shelters to be installed have already been procured by the agency, and are scheduled to be delivered in April 2025. b. Remove and dispose of twenty-six (26) outdated shelters and any unnecessary materials or debris. o Existing bus stop signage to be preserved and reused on new shelters. o Existing waste receptacles to be preserved for storage at BPTC facility. c. Install new concrete for shelter pads and landing areas, as needed (Location List in Section 1.6). o Concrete to be installed with 6" deep concrete slabs o Concrete must comply with INDOT standards o Bus stops must comply with ADA guidelines for accessibility, summarized below: - 8'D x 5'W bus stop landing zone adjacent to curb - Min. 5'W continuous path between shelter, landing zone, and pedestrian approach - No greater than 2% grade throughout bus stop (except where matching curb grade) d. Obtain all necessary local permits; coordinate with Utilities e.
