Reference Number 0000386710 The City of New Bedford, Purchasing Department, in conjunction with New Bedford Public Schools, is soliciting sealed bids for the Parker Pre-K Plumbing Upgrades located at 705 County St, New Bedford, Massachusetts 02740. The work of this contract will require a contractor with a DCAMM certification as a Prime Contractor in Plumbing. There are no Filed Sub-Bids for this project. The bid process and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149. The estimated budget for this project is $335,000.00, and the estimated substantial completion date is the end of August 2025. The contract will be awarded within sixty (60) calendar days after the bid opening. The time for award may be extended by mutual agreement between the City and the awarded bidder. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days, after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is five percent (5%) of the bid amount. Bid deposits may be in the form of Certified Check, Certificate of Deposit, or Bid Bond made payable to the City of New Bedford, Massachusetts. The Awarded Bidder must furnish a 100 percent (100%) Performance Bond and a 100 percent (100%) Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the City. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality, reject any or all bids, or accept other than the lowest priced bid if the City determines that it is in the best interests of the City.
