Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Newark, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Project: Sidewalk Replacement The Project consists of the following scope items: Replace Sidewalk Power wash sidewalk The schedule for the work is noted below, which is subject to material procurement and review with Owner: Work Commencement: June 13, 2025 Substantial Completion: August 4, 2025 This process shall be conducted in accordance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-1 et. seq. Please note that the only opportunity for prospective bidders to access or photograph the site or enter the existing school will be at the mandatory pre-bid meetings. Bidders are cautioned to review all Instructions and Contract Documents with respect to scheduling requirements and obligations. The project will be bid and constructed as a Single Prime Lump Sum Contract with Add Alternate options to be added at Owner's discretion. Bidders must submit one Bid Bond in an amount equal to 10% of the proposed Contract Price for the work to be performed at the 10 Washington Place campus, but not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) per N.J.S.A 18A:18A-24. Bid proposals for the above work will be received from bidders registered with the Division of Revenue and Department of Labor, and classified by the Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction ("DPMC"): General Contractors with a DPMC Classification of C006, C008 or C009, or; Other Special Categories as may be required and as set forth in the Request for Proposals. Bidders are cautioned that reliance on the mail delivery or courier service for timely delivery of proposals is at the bidder's risk, and any bid proposal received after the above date and time will be returned unopened. Bidders should note that the purpose of the Pre-Bid Conference is only to see the site. These will be the only opportunities provided to bidders for site access prior to the bid submission date. Bidders are encouraged to bring their teams to Pre-Bid Conferences. After the Pre-Bid Conference is held, the list of attendees will be made available in an addendum. If payment for the documents is not provided by the contractor and a bid proposal is submitted, the bid proposal will be returned unopened. Please provide a money order or bank check paid to the order of North Star Academy Charter School of Newark, Inc. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 (P.L. 1975, c. 127) and N.J.A.C. :27-1 et seq., pertaining to affirmative action and equal employment opportunity. North Star Academy Charter School of Newark reserves the rights to cancel this procurement, reject any and all bids, and waive technical defects in documents submitted in response to this Request for Proposals.
